Shown at OpenAir Cinema in 2013 in Austria along with „Mein Stern AKA Be My Star“ (2001):

Actually shot on 35mm film, which isn’t always the case for Shortfilm from the early 2000s! (Even many full feature independent films sometimes didn’t use film but other options)
Marie Kreutzer's film avoids stereotypes of teenagers. Instead of proceeding from the assumption that having problems is simply part of being 14, the protagonists are shown in the context of their everyday lives. The camera follows Theres, remaining close to her body, her gestures and the objects of her attention. (Maya McKechneay)

Translation from sixpackfilm.com via deepl.com:

Cappy Leit begins at the family breakfast table. 14-year-old Theres is boredly discussing with her father her coming home too late from the previous evening. The argument we expect is absent. Instead, the camera makes a statement by bringing sister and brother together in the semi-close-up. "I love you, I love you, I love you", sounds from the radio in passing. Theres has other problems than "twelve o'clock" or "half past twelve", because she is in love with her older brother Jakob. Marie Kreutzer's film avoids "teenage" stereotypes. Instead of assuming that one just has problems at 14, he looks at the protagonist in the context of her life. The camera follows Theres (Pauline Reiner) through her everyday life, always staying close to her body, her gestures and looks. We get to know Theres as the centre of a dichotomous world of signs in which "banana milk" or "ice cream" signify being a child, while "smoking Marlboro" and "shaving legs" stand for being a new adult.
Theres and her circle of friends are teenagers who, when going out, order a child's drink with an adult gesture: "Cappy Leit" - orange nectar diluted with tap water. In this transitional world, Theres attaches her new feelings to a constant, the brother she loves. Cappy Leit does not propose a solution. Instead, it ends with a symbolic misunderstanding: "Do you want an ice cream?", the brother asks his little sister, to which, however, she owes us an answer.
