i could swear i searched on emule but now looking at history and i don't see it there... bizarre cause i was searching everywhere it felt like.

EDIT::: There is about 2 minutes of junk before the VK video and about 15 minutes after. Apparently it was recorded from ARTE TV and NOT edited to just the movie itself before uploading.

ANYWAY. I am 99.99% sure it is just me and my failing computer, but did anyone else have problems with the big file?

Specifically, I was unable to copy it to an external drive and my computer locked up, multiple times. I did all the things I could think of: scan the drive for hardware errors, scan the file and the computer for malware, Ccleaning extraneous files, multiple computer restarts, verify that files both smaller and larger would copy over to the same drive, Unblock Properties/Security/"came from another computer" for the file. It would PLAY in VLC just fine. There was no apparent reason for any problem. It was just this ONE file that would hang up at 0% for several minutes when I tried to copy it. Eventually I deleted the file, and searched for another HD source. And it was at VK. Fortunately I had already extracted the German Arte colored subtitles from the 6.00Gb file before I started having problems with it.

Very strange. I hope NO ONE else has similar problems, with any files. But I thought I should share my experience just in case.

Thanks for the heads up about the files, Night. I have to slow down on the downloading for a day or two, but once I straighten up, I have that 6gb file queued and ready to go. I'll be sure to let you know if I have any issues. This movie certainly catches my interest.

That's really very strange. No, I hadn't any issues with the video file. I'm sorry, but I have no idea what's wrong on your side.

Thanks for the feedback! I am relieved that others here are NOT having the same issue. If it is just ME, then I can narrow my problem-solving focus. If it does not happen again, I can forget about it.
