At the End of the Night is a surreal and introspective short film, tinged with synth-wave brushstrokes, which focuses on the theme of love and hope. The darkness that has fallen on the life of little Moon due to the separation of her parents materializes in the mysterious and endless eclipse that darkens the Earth, to which no one can give an explanation. As in a sci-fi fairy tale, Luna feels invincible and is ready to do anything to save her family, but a moment later she gets lost on her path, overwhelmed by darkness. The sci-fi synth-wave aesthetic was born from the need to create a world parallel to the one we are used to. A reality similar but distant from our everyday life transports the film to a dreamlike-surreal level. The camera moves slowly, floating, floating in apnea among the empty streets of the city. The pitch black sky in contrast with the bright colors of the costumes and neon lights, gives a glow of hope to a world that seems to have fallen into oblivion. Luna and the Woman of the Street, like a modern Blue Fairy, are the two protagonists of the short and their meeting is salvific for both: Luna fully understands the love that binds her parents, while the Blue Fairy realizes the importance of own choices even in a world on the brink of the abyss. Like all fairy tales, "At the End of the Night" is full of symbols and metaphors, gradually revealing its intrinsic meaning: after the darkness, the day always comes.
