A surprise discovery that will give you a little slap in the face or hopefully make you jump for joy. Can't wait to hear your thoughts... We all know Rex Smith because of Street Hawk, it's a pleasure to see him again and discover his talents as a guitarist and singer in a movie.
In the movie the characters are depicted as being 4 years apart. Michael played by Rex Smith is 17 & Jessie played by Denise Miller is 13. In real life they were 8 years apart... Rex was 24 & Denise was only 16 ! Private joke : it's not Off-topic
Synopsis :
Spoiler:
Thirteen-year-old Jessie is in love with Michael, a 17-year-old guitar instructor and aspiring musician. When she finally captures his interest, she lies and tells him she's 16. But what will Michael do when he discovers the truth?
A slap in the face for me because I ought to remember these 1970s/early 1980s actors but I don't. "Street Hawk" rings a bell though. Thanks for this one!
I noticed that going by the dates listed at IMDB, Denise was actually still FIFTEEN (almost 16) at release date. So she was certainly no older than 15 while filming. (Rex was still 23 rather than 24, but we will focus on HER here.)
It looks like your DVDrip might be the full DVD in a mkv container. If not, I found the untouched full DVD5 at CG (3.25gb) and it is well-seeded. I'd be happy to share it here. I am assuming due to the similarity in size, it may be the same source as DaveTheBoss's file.
Thank you DaveTheBoss! I confess that "Street Hawk" is before my time. That does not stop me from being interested in this movie for the young lady, despite how admittedly good looking Rex is! I can totally believe him as a musician who breaks the hearts of young girls.
Pillowbaker, I think you are probably right that it is the full DVD because it has MPEG Video.
