Charlie's War (2003) USA

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0365052/

Charlie's War is the story of Charlotte Lewis, a woman who is experiencing serious emotional and mental turmoil brought about by nightmares of increasing intensity. In the dreams, she is a young girl, and she runs from unknown terrors. Trying to understand her troubling dreams, Charlotte revisits part of her childhood, which comes back to her in a series of impressionistic memories. Charlie, her sister, Jobie, and her mother move in with her grandmother. It is 1944, and World War II rages in Europe and the Far East. Though Grandma's farm seems to be a peaceful refuge, there is an undercurrent of fear and brooding menace in their surroundings.

Free or not free, if you're connected to the US, you should be able to access tubi.tv.

I'll get it.

First I thought this is another movie where the girls become adults very soon, but it isn't. It's a good movie from the first view.

Thanks for finding, Alex.

I liked the plot of the movie itself, that's why i was looking for him, and I don't know how much of the heroine's childhood is going on there

The picture quality on tubi and Amazon was pretty horrible. Ugly intelacing artefacts and jerky framerate of 29.97 fps.
I worked a bit on the video and I think it looks better now. Finally, I added some some film grain to make it look more natural.
Also the subtitles were a total mess!

I quickly downloaded the Tubi source shortly after Alex & ghost's initial posts. I looked at the video and said "Oh NO, ghost is NOT going to like how this looks, not at all. No sirree." Even with my own poor eyesight and jerky brainwaves the problems were noticeable. Your end video is a huge relief, ghost. Thank goodness.

But since I figured I should just sit and wait for THAT, a few days ago I also looked at the so-called subtitles originally provided by Tubi. I quickly wiped my hands of those as they looked little better than old YouTube Auto Generated Subs. Did you whisper-generate an entire new set, or did you sit and type corrections to the Tubi subs with live playback, and adjusting the waveform?
