Andy Singer, an out-of-work actor now struggling as a New York City realtor, finds his world crashing down around him when his estranged 10-year-old daughter Anna shows up unannounced on his doorstep in the middle of his eviction.
This is one HELL of a not-funny, interminable string of one-bad-thing-after-another happenings that impact this poor child and her absolute arshole of a father. Up to this film I thought Elijah Wood's portrayal of a worthless father in the movie Bookworm was the worst. THIS cretin-daddy tops him, hands down!
Spoiler:
The moment Anna asks 'When I'm gone, what will you do?' and he replies something like 'Be happy; the best thing I ever did was give your mom full custody of you..' that dirtbag hit my sh*tlist full force! I could find nothing redeeming in anything he did after that.. AND THAT SCENE COMES PRETTY EARLY ON IN THE FRIGGIN' MOVIE..
Kasey's cute.. That's about the best thing this movie has to offer.. (Of course, totally IMO only!! )
kev.
