[Image]A mother, Maria, is forced into prostitution because she is forced by her violent husband. During one of the many episodes of violence, her husband is accidentally killed. Maria, who ends up in prison with her daughter Cristina, tries in every way to make prison less harsh for little Cristina, also with the help of the other inmates. Cristina has terrible memories of her father, but Maria tells her incredible stories, where her father, in love, used to play with her. However, Cristina's birthday arrives and a letter sent by the Ministry separates her from her mother forever. The moment of separation is dramatic and Maria and the other inmates cannot accept it. Cristina becomes an adult, has rebuilt her life and looks to that past for a reason to continue living peacefully, also through memory and forgiveness.
