BINGJIE(8) and her best friend HUANHUAN(8) play a game of catching flies with a plastic cup at her father’s restaurant/gambling den. Their game is broken up when they are called into the gambling den to “save” Huanhuan‘s mother, who’s a regular gambler and scam artist here. Huanhuan offers her mother an excuse to leave the table after she wins everyone’s money. However, the other gamblers at the table don‘t buy it and prohibit her from leaving the table. Huanhuan sees her mother slapped by another man, frightening her. Bingjie, seeing her friend’s fragility for the first time, rushes to protect her. Bingjie rushes upstairs to find her father only to find him in the arms of another woman. With no adult support, Bingjie must act to prevent the gamblers from destroying her family and to protect her friend from being dragged into the violence.

Great find, Caleyunior! Thanks for getting this downloaded and shared, everyone.

E9, those autogen subs you found are interesting. This is no criticism. I am fascinated by these subs. They are indeed the software's auto-generated interpretation of what the actors are saying as if they were speaking English. They are speaking Chinese, but some of the words are close to English words. "You try to jump" and "ocean chicken" are clearly heard, but in Chinese.

Once again, this short looks well made. I'll help source over emule.

Yes, I didn't check the subtitle, just uploaded as is.
It looks like they are using the wrong language configuration.
Thank you for discovering this. ❤️

And thank you for seeding it. ❤️

They are vimeo auto subtitles, which in my experience, are worse than YouTube's. I'd recommend tossing them and starting over with Whisper.

E9 thanks for the upload. Embedded vimeos are tricky to get.

No whisper needed, this short has professional-looking English hard subs.

I am interested in the auto subs because vimeo's autogen did a strangely close job catching some English words that I wouldn't have gathered myself. A brief thing of interest, no more.
