The actors and actresses are the same as the 2021 one. I thought it was a prequel. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it anywhere online.

Ah, I thought that sounded familiar. IMDB says "The short served as the basis for the feature film of the same title." I guess it received positive response so they got the funds to go larger!

Just last night I saw the movie "Ama," the "feature-length" one, and I have to say I really enjoyed it. I found it realistic and impressive (there were some scenes of nudity between the mother and daughter). I'm used to seeing unusual scenes, including dramatic arguments, sex, and even nudity, but after all, it's still just a film about a mother and daughter being evicted from their home. I'd love it if some Italian director made a film with an Italian version that's identical to this Spanish version. Every now and then, in Italy, Spain, and France, they copy and paste the same stories into films.

I do not think it strange to take an appealing story and adapt it for your "home" audience so your wish seems perfectly sensible to me. There are surely other FLM examples of the same story remade even multiple times in different countries. Like the Japanese series "Mother" / Korean "Mother" / Turkish "Anne" / Philippine "Saving Grace" / (am I missing any others?)

There are 3 versions in Italian, Spanish, and French: the one about the children who are forgotten on the train, and the other 3 versions about the families who, with a spell, are transformed into their different characters, for example, the little girl transforms into the character of the grandmother, the mother into the character of the father, etc.

I remember the "body swapping" movies I think being posted here recently, i.e. in the past year.
