Holly, 28, has always thought she was the wrong version of herself and that her life wasn't going right. When she meets a little girl named Arabella, she's convinced she's found her childhood self. Determined to run away from home, the little girl hides her identity and fulfills Holly's wish: to go back and become someone special.

Re: [REQ] Il Rapimento di Arabella AKA The kidnapping of Arabella (2025)
Director's Statement:
Arabella's Abduction isn't exactly about a kidnapping in the traditional sense, even though it's titled that. It's primarily about a girl who finds a way to resolve her past, overcome regrets, calm anxiety about the future, and forget failed expectations. The protagonist, Holly, is part of that group of people, perhaps a generation, who fear that life is always somewhere else. As children, we imagine a thousand lives, even if we ultimately live only one; continuing to think like this as adults, however, leads to a devaluation of reality, a distraction from the world and the meaning of things, from their beauty and injustice, from our own actions. Although Arabella's Abduction resembles a comedy, the film was born from reflections read on Reddit and other online forums, as well as from personal, everyday feelings. That's why I decided to invent the story for this film, which seems to me to capture a widespread, or at least resonate, feeling.
Your lucky. When do you think will be available online? How long does it take for movies to be released online in Italy on average after their theatrical release?

I'm sorry, but I think we'll have to wait quite a few months, maybe until April. I hope I'm wrong.

I only want to know if the giant chicken is a hero who ends up helping Arabella.
To be honest, I found the scene in the trailer where the chicken sits next to little Arabella a little strange. I'll find out when I go to the cinema on December 4th. I have a feeling this movie is a bit heavy.

Because the chicken is 6-feet tall, or because Arabella is not even bothered by a 6-foot chicken?

You made me have to watch the trailer again. Noticing Arabella's sad face as she ate next to a strange character dressed as a chicken, whose male or female it wasn't clear, Arabella pointed her finger at something or someone. I can't figure out what upset her. The only thing to do is wait until December 4th and see it in theaters. From the plot, the film will tell the story of two protagonists, a 28-year-old woman who kidnaps the little girl Arabella, and the two of them will form friendships until they are taken in by the people who struck me as strange from the trailer, as well as a strange chicken.
