But you know, I'm curious to see it too because it looks scary from the trailer, I'll definitely watch it on Halloween, let's hope this original series will be as good as the remake. In the meantime, filming has already begun for the second season, which will be released next year.

I think each Season is gonna have a different set of characters
Beacause apparently each Season has a different time period
Season 1 takes place in 1962, Season 2 is 1935 and Season 3 is 1908
Which means the Children in Season 1 wouldn't even be alive in Season 2

Yes, according to the director who made 2 chapters of IT remake, this series will have 3 seasons and different stories I think. In fact, he gave an interview stating that "there's a reason this story is told backwards." Namely, this first season is the last after the events narrated between 1908 and 1935, which is why I said I'm curious to see how this series began and how it will end.

Thanks, Moonee, for bringing this series to our attention.
I binge watched the first season a couple of weeks ago. I really enjoyed it.
Like Mike Flanagan did with his 'Haunting of...' series; they mash-up characters and incidents from other King novels into the story line of THIS series. It's kind of like spotting little 'Easter Eggs' when you come across them.
Stephen King has NOT written any episodes nor is he producing the series. Other than his novel 'IT' being the inspiration for the series he's had little else to do with it, beyond lending his services as a consultant here and there. BUT he has given the series his blessings and has given praises to what he's seen so far.
Well worth a watch if you like the 'kids in spooky movies' genre. The child actors and actresses do a great job with their characters!
