Little Virgil (Bror Bødtker-Næss), roughly nine years old, resides in a clubhouse with his pet chicken, steals fruit from a cranky woman's tree, has as a best friend a boy with very retentive, exercise-junkie parents. His arch-enemy is Orla Frosnapper, a chain-smoking young man who wants to capture our hero. As these two do battle throughout the film, Little Virgil, his pal and a female peer rescue a bird, destroy a yard, attend a circus and build an addition onto the clubhouse.
