There is no date. So she must be at least 15yo.

IMDB Trivia wrote:Although there isn't anything stating exactly when this film is set, all cues from style, media, technologies and behaviors indicate this film is set at some point in the mid 1990's.

Examples are a magazine dated June 1993 and a television advertisement that states 'no payments until 1998', Also the use of CRT televisions and VCR's, as well as an absence of PC's, internet or mobile phones.
That convinced me to download it immediately. THANK YOU anon0403!!

Not gonna lie, It really annoys me when I see for example.. A 13 year old playing as an 8 year old

They seriously couldn't find anyone closer to the age??

Anyway, i don't know if this movie is my type

Geeze... Not another friggin' waste of thread space endlessly debating actresses real age vs. character's age.... :wall

Watch the damn movie!!

(Available at YTS: https://yts.lt/movies/the-girl-in-the-woods-2025 )

She's obviously a kid; 11 to [a VERY young looking] 15 years old. She's a KID!!

The movie itself was okay. Not bad for an independent film with no major 'named' actors. (Actually had me tearing up in a couple of places.) The actress, Selah Rose, was a competent little actress for her role; not a lot of speaking parts and minimal expressions. But she was CUTE!! :heart :heart
Spoiler:

ALTHOUGH I would take a few points away because of the ending... That's all I'll say right now as to not risk a MAJOR spoiler... (I know peeps are gonna peep.. ;) )

Yeah, you can kinda tell, as there's no special effects to speak of (maybe a little switch-eroo edit), and as I said; there weren't any big name actors to pay. There were two basic settings; in the house and the surrounding woods (OH! And a couple of scenes in Malcolm's friend's house..) AND it was probably shot on video and not film... :think

kev.
