When a young family, father, mother and their daughter, is on a trip in the mountains, they lose orientation and have to stay there for the night. The daughter finds a dead young girl who does exactly look like herself. When they check for mountain rescue service they suddenly find themselves deeply involved in a local myth about a prophecy which seems to be fulfilling now. The mountains are bearing an old curse.

It's been quite a while since I saw this movie on TV, and it was a really impressive. The atmosphere was eerie and spooky, doing without formulaic, overused shock effects. It's not something you expect from a German/Austrian movie, so this was a real surprise.

There are quite a number of well-known actors playing in this movie, and the director/writer team did a lot of other remarkable movies (with the exception of "Voll normaaal"

Unfortunately, the movie is not available on DVD or VHS, and is not aired anymore A lot of junk movies are available on DVD, so someone please release this one.

PLEASE NOTE : this is also apparently the translation for "the grudge" and I am therefore pretty sure that all avilable on em are this 2004 horror and not the required !!

I am searching for this movie for years now.

I only can hope that it will be shown on TV. I keep my eyes open for it.
