Does it usually take this long?

Newbie here. I'm just wondering if files always take this long to download. When I download something from Limewire, no matter what it is, it's always much faster. But then again, I have Pro. Am I doing something wrong?

Yes, patience is required especially when sources are low ;)

What networks files are available on are completely up to the users who have such files. If you are willing to put them on and share them on a faster network, it can be done. So I have to ask, why does everyone seem to insist on continuing to use emule? There has to be a reason. Forgive me if this has been addressed and I haven't seen it.

Hmmm... emule vs limewire... no contest when it comes to movies!

Forgetting the vastly larger library. With emule:

- Better searches with more operators and options.
- better results with more information. Non the fuzzy logic you get with limewire.
- a credit system that works.
- open source so no malware

I use limewire for fast downloading of songs sometimes. But if a song is spoofed/faked on limewire you are stuck, whereas you still have options if the same thing happens in emule.

another thing is that files are normally shared much longer in emule, and it's easy to reshare. Another thing is that the wait for new files is just long enough to be able to watch most of what i download, in time for new things to have downloaded.
