Frederick and Francis are two high school students in a boarding school. Their two young girlfriends aren't as daring as they want and the other young men at the boarding school are always telling stories about their romantic seductions. The two get the idea to hitchhike through Sweden so they can brag about their many conquests, but in reality they are barely out of their nest and are too timid and hesitant in their newfound freedom.
La Surprise du Chef (1976) France

This one's tougher because there was also a tv series with this title. I didn't find any links for the film, but it doesn't sound like it's relevant anyway. I could be wrong - has anyone seen this?
Hubert has a mistress, Papinou would seduce her. To this end, he convinces Hubert to emigrate. After years he became editor, while Papinou did not reach his goals.
