Yup, dead easy.

Just click your profile, scroll down to the bottom where it says "Upload Avatar from your machine".
I think you will understand the rest

Note that there is a restriction on the size. If necessary, resize your image to comply.

I try to upload my avatars "dakota fanning" but it tells me its too big! I can't find a right size in google....

Use a photo editing tool.
