Following on from the Swedish kids sci fi series, I started thinking of other kids sci fi series.
Does anyone remember these two Doctor Who spin offs?
The Sarah Jane Adventures was made by the BBC and shown on the CBBC channel.
K-9 Adventures was produced by Australian tv company Channel 10 and shown over there, and on Channel 5 in the uk (not sure if they were shown anywhere else in the world)
Both series were aimed at kids, and kids were the main stars of the series.
Would these both be considered as FLM worthy.

Threads merged. I had never even heard of the K9 series until today. The young actors in that seem to have been mostly in their 20s, but Philippa Coulthard was 15-16. So I guess that qualifies. Or is the show really about the robot dog?

I had never seen the Sarah Jane series and assumed (wrongly) that it focused solely on the definitely-adult Elisabeth Sladen. I learn something new every day! Ok, that one seems to indeed have younger teens. Thank you for bringing up the topic again.

K-9 was a similar concept to SJA, but with K-9 as the only DW reference. SJA was made and produced by the BBC, whereas K-9 was "based on characters created by"
If i remember rightly the BBC do not solely own the rights to the K-9 character, similarly to the daleks,so no other DW references were made in it, plus it came out around the same time as nuwho was becoming popular.
