Yes, it is a synopsis: Young pupil visited during the holidays his(?) uncle, who worked as an excavator operator on the river Dnepr. Gradually he(?) befriended local kids, and even helped to prevent a steamboat accident. P. S. The interrogation marks are sign of my uncertainity who is the real hero of the movie, because the pictures show both girl and a boy (and Russian language is not so gender definite, so I don´t really know ).
