Tini zabutykh predkiv AKA Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors

In this highly praised story of an eternal love between childhood sweethearts, a young man struggles with the death of his girlfriend..., even after he marries. The first twenty or so minutes of the film have the characters at about ten and eight years of age and shows the start of their life-long romance. Full of Russian music and folklore. Will most likely be either a hit or miss with its viewers.

Review:
In a Carpathian village, Ivan falls in love with Marichka, the daughter of his father's killer. When tragedy befalls her, his grief lasts months; finally he rejoins the colorful life around him, marrying Palagna. She wants children but his mind stays on his lost love. To recapture his attention, Palagna tries sorcery, and in the process comes under the spell of the sorcerer, publicly humiliating Ivan, who then fights the sorcerer. The lively rhythms of village life, the work and the holidays, the pageant and revelry of weddings and funerals, the change of seasons, and nature's beauty give proportion to Ivan's tragedy. - IMDb

Incredible! A movie I´ve seen about, well, might be 30 years ago and still remember this beautiful scene on forest pond! You are sorcerer, Rich, (well, a good one, to avoid misunderstanding)! Thank you a lot!!!
Just one remark: Not "Full of Russian music and folklore", but Ukrainian, or more precisely, Carpathoruthenian or Ruthenian (most famous member of this nation is probably Andy Warhol).
