Sergio (Davide Veronese) is the rather morose child of a couple who have long since passed from having a bad marriage to near-total indifference. However, one day they announce to their son that Mom is expecting.

His friends are pretty clear that little brothers and sisters are nothing but trouble. Sergio has a vivid and active imagination, and he has no trouble dreaming up scenes with his imaginary sister or brother... and this continues until he imagines roasting the boy on the family’s barbeque.

Unfortunately, his mother suffers a miscarriage soon thereafter (for which he wrongly blames himself)... his imagination now centers on trying to build a good relationship with the brother, who is understandably upset at being killed and demands blood in retribution.
