Filmen bygger på et sagn som går tilbake til 1349, da svartedauen nådde Norge etter å ha herjet ute i Europa. Sagnet om Rypa i Justedalen forteller
om en liten pike, den eneste...

This little short was made in 1967 by Anja Breien. Anja Breien took later part in making the manuscript for the feature movie Trollsyn, also posted
here at FLM. Part of a DVD-collection celebrating Anja Breien , but only this one is childhood related. The little girl is the only one surviving after the Black Plague had swept over Norway, and her valley in 1349-1350... Some years later it goes rumours in a nearby place that someone is living "up there". They send out a group of men to try to find "it"....

I'm like ghost; never heard of this before, but I LOVED 'Trollsyn' [Second Sight] and have been anxiously waiting for a DVD release of that movie for years...

This will make a wonderful companion piece once it does come out.

Do you know, if Trollsyn ever has been released on DVD? I would love to get a better quality version

It has never been released on DVD. But it might come this year or early next year... The National filminstitute were planning a release.
