Wow!! Nice find, kj!! And, WHOA!!: HUMONGOUS pix!! :eyecrazy

2004... :think

Goes to show that there are still a few older movies out there that fit the FLM criteria, and haven't been posted yet!! Thanks for helping 'fill in the gaps', katzenjammer! ;)

And thanks, too for the great releases you've been posting of late as well as your helping to keep our new 'Chat' going!

kev.

This was pure luck... I was doing global and kad-searches for "kurzfilm". Most turned out to be animations, but this one was FLM'ish...

Thanks for clearing that up Ghost!

I was just about to have a moan about this being one of those more recent mkv files that that always freeze during playback after a few seconds, followed by my internal PC fan speeding up to insane speeds.

Thanks anyway Katz

As there are more and more BR-rips released, you better invest in updating your graphics. Try to view the Clip in slow motion - it might work... :icon_secret

a small investment for a large amount of enjoyment. add ram and get better graphics card. idler is very right in so many ways. hd is here and will be taking over. to not be a part is just cheating yourself out of some great experiences. and the added power will make every task you do faster and easier. less stress more fun.

:)

I see.
I’m not one for envying other peoples PC's and having the latest gear for the sake of it, but 2GIG of memory and a 256MB card has always been enough for what I do = running second life, gaming etc.

So what’s the bare minimum of memory and graphics that you suggest I purchase, considering I apparently don’t have enough to watch mkv’s?

I’m not so sure about cheating myself out of great experiences.
Iv watched blu-ray films on my friends hideous wall hanging 42”TV, but enjoyed them just as much on my DVD player & CRT box.
I guess we all have different ideas on what a "great experience" actually is.

Sadly I guess ill have to give in to marketing eventually, and follow the masses day tripping down to PC World in their steel coffins …. Cringe.

that would be up to your machine and what you are doing at the time. you have enough to play just fine if you are running nothing else. if you are like most of us and multitasking you should get as much ram as possible and a dual graphics card. i have a dual core with dual cards with over 8gigs of memory and still get some pauses some times. reason is because another program is taking up my resources. this may be your problem now. many ways to check what program is causing the slow down. do you know how to check this?

another alternative that i use for the main viewing of a movie is a media player that works as a server to your tv. i have 3. the one i use most is the ps3, 2nd would be western digital media player(cheapest and plays more formats) and 3rd my computer via hdmi out from my hd graphics card.there are currently many on the market.

also try a different media player in your computer. some files play smoother in vlc over media player classic or divx and vise versa.

i am sure this is a common problem for many here. not being able to play certain files. but once fixed you will be glad you did the research and upgrade. i am very very glad when i did.
