I've noticed this happening a lot lately... Posts made with minimal info given. :think

Please check out:

https://www.first-loves.com/forums/v ... 752#p52237

With attention to the request in red:
ghost wrote:If you want to make a [REL] post, use the RELEASES (by country) forums, if you want to make a [REQ], use the REQUESTS (by country) forums.

Example: [REL] Moviename (2005)

Please write a short description of the movie. If you want you can add a picture of the movie cover or scenes.

imdb links are always welcome. When a movie has alternate titles, please mention them in the thread too

And overall: Please search the forum before posting to avoid double posts!
As a courtesy to people checking out your post, some kind of description would be greatly appreciated. If you have a fair number of images that give a good idea of what the movie is about, that is better than nothing, but it really doesn't take that much longer to [at the least] cut and paste a brief synopsis of the film.

Posters who take the time to contribute by bringing movies to FLM are GREATLY appreciated, and my making this post is in no way trying to diminish that fact.

Thanks for all you've brought to FLM. :thumbsup

I will take this as constructive criticism that will benefit everyone by example. I am glad to see it as it is rarely done these days. :cool

I usually post a trailer link when available or what I would consider also beneficial is a thumbnail shot. This also proves that the file is confirmed.

As for posting a description I find it just as easy to click IMDB link http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1525830/ that I always provide if available. Although if it is really necessary I can easily copy and paste as you pointed out.

Over 20 people downloading this from me without a description :think

And here is the trailer
:)

I appreciate that. I was really worried about offending, and that was by no means the intention of my previous post. :)

I concur. Again I see it as more of an aide to pique interest in a release.

I usually go to the imdb if the movie catches my interest and I want more detailed info. A little blurb to 'snag' me in the first place is very much appreciated.

As there are many members that are here only to leech and never contribute [not even taking time to make supportive or 'thank-you' posts], I have no doubt that a lot of people pretty much click on anything that gets released.

I'm a little more finicky, and am among those that do appreciate the extra info. :bigups

Thanks again, Ptg for all you've added to FLM!

And MANY thanks for this [REL]: I did take the extra time to check on the links you provided this morning and this does look like a movie I'll like, so I'm sure you've seen ME leeching what I can from you off and on today!! :thumbsup

And me too - I always take a close look at anything you release, ptg, because they're usually top-quality. If I don't say "thanks" sometimes, it's certainly not because I don't appreciate your efforts.

PTG releases hardly work for me - seems our mule clients simply don't connect. So I gave it up since a long time.

I think PTG is often not online. I started to download "Antonyho sance" about 24 hours ago and right now it is 0.6% complete. So far I've got most PTG's releases finished, though.

BLT is correct. I am only online a few hours a day. Also I have limited bandwidth and have to prioritize my uploads sometimes. I posted to many files to soon this week and as such Antonyho sance is last in my upload at the moment. however I always finish my uploads to contributors, especially those who archive. ;)

I have dozens of files sitting waiting to be shared and dozens more that I can rip. If only I could find an unlimited IP again. :( for now I will have to just post a few on occasion. :(

@Phuzzy, thank you. to me the recent releases of mine are decent but not top-notch. this is just my opinion of course.... this release has a seriousness to it that builds emotion and this is good thing but I have to be in the mood for it. where as a movie like boathouse detectives is just fun to watch anytime.(kids acting like cute silly kids)

yes they do, but more than usual on this one
