Inspectors and helpers take a group of children on an outing to Weston-Super- Mare from Birmingham. Slum and dereliction scenes. Birmingham Snow Hill station. Scenes from the journey: trains, rides, countryside, carriage. Weston-Super-Mare station, beach, rides, pier, fish `n' chips, ice creams, tea, presents, departure. The film ends on a scene of a lone child in a slum with a silent appeal for the League of Pity.
