Eduardo, said Dodo, and Freddi are leaders of tourist villages in Africa. During a least adventurous trip transfer by plane to a new village, in the company of a bursting tourist, have an accident and are collected by Father Luke, head of a Catholic mission in a remote village in the heart of Kenya. The forced cohabitation with doctors and volunteers that make up the mission and contact with the local population, they raise consciousness in Dodò that, forty weary and disillusioned, he begins to discover and understand solidarity and humanity. The discovery of a new world, even within, forces him, against his will to make choices that never would have thought to do when he comes to visit the bishop of the district is forced to take the place of his father Luke, sick, and faces the powerful prelate with a passion unknown to him, to enhance the skills of members of the mission and the work they do. Thus proving to himself and to others as anyone, sometimes just by coincidence, may be better than what he believed to be. Eventually, Dodo decides to stay in the mission, leaving the two friends who return to their homeland.
