Mere bump in the road. Plenty of other torrent sites and you could use tor or similar proxy to access your favorites.

TPB died on me today.
www.thepiratebay.se is redirecting to
www.thepiratebay.gl and throwing a 'can't find server' error.

Weird... tpb.se worked for me, but the page that came up was titled 'The Promo Bay' with a video of a strange documentary called 'DPRK: The Land of Whispers (North Korean Travel Documentary 2013). Could it have been hacked??
tpb.gl comes up the same; 'can't find server'...
kev.

My ISP blocked the Pirate Bay 2 days ago. I was still able to get on and this may work for you as well, but who knows for how long. Type in "piratebay" into your search engine and the pirate bay should still come up. DON'T click on the main link or it goes right to "piratebay.gl". Instead, click on one of the sublinks like browse. Once you are on, then everything still works. Again, they may start blocking all the rest of the links as well, but right now, this works for me.

Both thepiratebay.se & thepiratebay.gl are blocked to UK ISP's. Strangely they are also blocked when using a US VPN that flags up a Florida IP address!
thepiratebay.se can still be accessed using the TOR network & redirects to The Promo Bay which appears to have all content absolutely as normal other than an absence of seeders/leechers showing due to the default script settings of the TOR browser. You'll need to take an educated guess on the number of seeders/leechers available BUT ON NO ACCOUNT ALTER THE DEFAULT SETTINGS ALLOWING SCRIPTS TO RUN AS THIS DEFEATS THE PURPOSE OF THE ANONYMOUS SERVICE. You'll only be using this to access the tiny torrent file anyway & your client will soon tell you of availability.

My bad. I didn't realize that the Pirate Bay switched to Greenland for hosting and got the .gl address for it's new servers. Greenland then took the site down. Since the site was down and I got a generic page, I thought it was being blocked and it was not. I was still able to get on the site, apparently the old site in Sweden that the Pirate Bay thinks Sweden is going to take down, which is why they moved to Greenland. Now they are searching again for another home, but right now I can still get on through my instructions in my previous post.

Thanks, vidman69. That worked for me.
Instead of
www.thepiratebay.se use
www.thepiratebay.se/browse

Sadly this still doesn't work in the UK.
Other than using TOR you can try accessing TPB through these proxy links although I guess this is an ever-changing situation.

Seems our money isn't enough for these bunch of c*nts who call themselves our ISP's & they are committed to determining which sites we are allowed to visit. Roll on the day when I can finally tell them to go fuck themselves!
