A custody battle from hell, literally. The reviews aren't great, but the girl is cute.

'Aatma' is story of divorcee Maya {Bipasha Basu} and her daughter Nia {Doyel Dhawan}. Nia is very attached to her father Abhay {Nawazudin Siddiqui} and keeps missing him. Very little does she know about her parents getting divorced and that her dad is not alive. Maya is happy to get rid of Abhay, but feels his presence all around. Abhay on other hand loved his daughter very much and thus returns back as a spirit trying to protect her. He wants to take Nia along with him, in his world. What happens next is what the entire film is all about.

Wow, those are some harsh reviews at IMDB! I found the movie entertaining enough. The malevolent spirit is even somewhat sympathetic. He was unjustly denied access to his daughter, and his vengeance is (at first) aimed at those threatening her. They had it coming to them!

DDL: [Code] The youtube video is complete but does not have the subtitles it claims to have. My RELease does. It is also at Uloz in a much larger file of similar quality, but that one is shorter and I can not get it to sync to the subs. Normally different frame rates don't cause me this much trouble.

In Hindi with external English subtitles.
