Problem connecting to emule servers

I just downloaded emule onto my computer, and every time I try to connect to the emule servers, it comes back and says that each server appears to be dead, one by one. What could be the issue?

I have to assume that your computer is actually connected to the internet, of course. Given that ...

I am going to guess that there is something wrong with your TCP/UDP port configuration. To test it, go to Options / Connection and in the Client Port section click "Test Ports". If the test fails, that is at least a start for where to fix the problem.
If you have not already looked at it, check out the
Step-by-Step eMule Setup
Any further suggestions would be appreciated from the longtime eMule experts.

Also make sure you have up-to-date server list. Servers used few years back are all dead by now (or changed IP address).
Port forwarding does not affect server reachability, I think. "Test Ports" probably depends on a working server itself.

"Test Ports" runs an applet on the emule website and checks if your ports are reachable. It will fail if you have LowID.
Currently the best server is eMule Security! Set it to static and high priority.

These ones seem good:
https://www.emule-security.org/serverlist/
or
https://shortypower.org/
Personally I update my server list in the eMule Server tab like this here:
https://www.emule-security.org/e107_plu ... ?0.cat.6.5
(Do not use the "Add to emule" link because it is dead in some browsers.)

Note that most servers have few slots (if any) for lowID clients, and when these get filled up you won't be able to connect to them. Currently only ed2k://|server|45.82.80.155|5687|/ is letting me connect - all the others are saying this server is full.
If you know of any other lowID friendly servers please let me know. I have lowID due to my ISP using enterprise level NAT, and my government looks very suspiciously at people who use VPNs, so I'm kind of stuck.

I see that the one that works for you is eMule Security.
I am not LowID, but have you tried eMule Sunrise?

Without any particular recommendations because I am HighID, but if you are looking for Servers that you can try for LowID effectiveness:
Of course the standard "Safe Server list"
https://www.emule-security.org/serverlist/
And a longer list than emule-security:
https://peerates.net
You would likely need to copy-paste individual peerates servers.

Until a few weeks ago that was my second best server, but since then I
always get a
this server is full message when trying to connect.

Darnit, sorry. I know for a fact that there are plenty of FLM LowID members, so hopefully a few of them will have good suggestions.
