In the late 1990s, thirteen-year-old Sonya, along with her mother and younger sister Anya, was forced to move to live in the village. She doesn't like this change of scenery at all. Relations with the locals do not add up, and there is little entertainment here. Except to climb into an abandoned house, shrouded in silly legends about an evil Puppeteer who allegedly steals children and makes puppets out of them. But since the sisters looked into the house, something strange has been happening to the quiet, lonely Anya. After all, if no one is playing with children, a Puppeteer will play with them.

Thanks Andrea, I am interested! I changed the release year on the thread to match IMDB, but edited your post to indicate the 2022 production year.

I also came across an unrelated 4-episode miniseries by the same title from the 2022 production year. (It is a totally different cast, crew and story.)

To be accurate in life just see the credits first to know the year this movie was produced as I set the image below. On IMDB they put 2023 because it was released this year. they should change it and set it to 2022.

The IMDB standard is to go by the year of release, not when it was made. Sometimes the release gets delayed by a few years! IMDB is not always correct about the release year, that is true, but looking at the credits of most films we can not tell when they were made. We sometimes get a copyright that is earlier than the release, particularly when the release is at the beginning of a new year.

Anyway, we also go by release year at FLM.

*Sigh* Seriously now, I really regret that my antique computer equipment has not been up to the challenge, as I was initially at least hopeful about the possibilities. I dunno if it would have shortened your list, but it would have certainly given ME a list. Some of them would not be FLM material, however.

But I enjoyed watching movies in the past without subtitles, so there is no reason I can not still do it now.

Have you had no luck with trying whisper or a similar transcriber, Night? I guess it does seem to be a little processor heavy.

Tonight, I will load Kukolnik up in whisper and post the results the following day, as long as they're adequate enough.
