FNP - Fear No Peer private torrent site open signups

Post by Night457 »   1 likes

Posted a few minutes ago at fearnopeer, a private torrent site.
Re: Open Signups for One Week Only! 🚀
Dear Mmembers,

FNP is open for sign-ups for just 7 days! We're thrilled to welcome new and eager learning members to our website after upgrading our servers. We're on a mission to grow stronger and connect with new, awesome members who want to join us. All the best!

Fear No Peer!
See here to register https://fearnopeer.com/register

This is a general private torrent site, not specifically FLM movies. I signed up at the previous open registration, read the rules which are fairly relaxed, follow the rules ... and I have not been kicked off. Got some good stuff!

P.S.: I almost forgot: they are currently in the midst of a Global Free Leech and right now there is one day 9 hours 13 minutes left!

Thanks for the heads up, Night. I noticed last time I logged in that they were in the middle of a generous freeleech, but I did not know they had opened registrations again. FNP has been pretty cool so far, and pretty laid back. I make sure I open my client from time to time to get some seeding time in.

Even with freeleech, I still have trouble finding something I'm interested in downloading though. But that goes for anywhere. They do have quite a bit available there.

I had the hardest time coming up with something to download too, since they are mainstream and I am often looking for the obscure. There is plenty there that I LIKE, but I already HAVE it because it is ... NOT obscure. There are other sites that have variations on the same movies. Eventually I came up with a few items that OUGHT to have been popular choices but just weren't anywhere else that I could find. Now with the freeleech I am downloading entire multi-season series that I just had not bothered with anywhere before because they were SO huge and I expected them to take SO long. But the FNP uploaders have incredible speeds. What disappoints me is my inability to seed so much of it because I am the last person to get it! One hour after uploading, most everyone who wants the file has it. ... And I think that so far, I have not found anything to reshare on FLM. I also keep both my torrent and emule clients running 23/7. I just only have so much room on the onboard harddrive, and things must get deleted if they have no downloaders.

Thank you for sharing this information! I am still reading the FNP site rules and hope that I can "give back" there one way or another.

Thank you DreamScape (in another thread) for more information & explanations about private trackers.

Night457, I will heed your warnings to NOT go overboard with hoovering up multiple huge files all at once.

Only, I'm thinking of downloading Les Miserables from FNP. Because Les Miserables is one of my favourite books. I watched all the movies, series and books without getting bored. In fact, the most important thing he (Jean Valjean) taught me was to be fair. And being a good person. :)

(FNP conversation continued from another thread.)

I was curious about that too. It worked for me getting the .torrent from FLM even though I have not logged in to FNP in a number of months because of my overloaded and dead quota ratio. What possible tech magic could be involved in restricting a torrent to "members only" except by restricting access to the .torrent file or MAGNET hash? If there is some sort of Trojan Cookie involved then it ought to prevent me from downloading the actual file. If the .torrent has spyware attached then maybe it reported back my torrent client to the FNP site and they will cancel my account. But I think my tech paranoia is naive and overly complex.
I'm having an issue with the FnP torrent - it downloaded quickly but upload is sporadic and single digit slow... Anyone else encounter this problem? Any suggestions?
My problem as a member was similar in that a few hours after a torrent was posted, I was the last one in line to get it and had no one to share it with. Supposedly simply keeping the file AVAILABLE to be shared whether or not anyone takes it from you will benefit your ratio, but I no longer have the ability to test that theory. I know from experience with your eMule files that your upload speeds are fast and strong, at least with eMule. Do you have fast upload speeds with TORRENTS that are NOT private? I wonder if there is some non-default setting in the torrent client Preferences that is necessary to allow good upload speeds.

Successful FNP members should be able to give better advice. (Yes, I admit I am an FNP failure. :| )

Is there anything stopping you? Are you an FNP member? Is the torrent version that you want available from FNP for the movie version you want? If you want it, go ahead and download! Whoever uploads a torrent WANTS YOU to download because it gives them joy to share! It is also possible that the movie version you want is available from public torrents and that you do not even need FNP for it.
Because Les Miserables is one of my favourite books.
I read the book once about 35 years ago and loved it so much that I have REFUSED to EVER watch any movie or theater adaptation of it, because I expect that I would be disappointed. Yes, I know that seems a little crazy. Now if I wanted to read it again I would need a LARGE PRINT version that would weigh 20 pounds. I have the same problem with "War and Peace", but for that one I at least have watched a few movie versions.

For TorrentLeach, a similar tracker, I just downloaded a couple episodes from a Law and Order series pack and uploaded 100s of GB in no time from it. Basically most torrents are probably not going to earn you anything, but you can probably find something popular to get a lot of upload from.
