You a fan of the Silent Hill (game) series, Caleyunior? I haven't tried watching any of the movie versions yet.
Had no idea this was coming out. When I first saw your post here, I thought the plot and character name sounded sounded just like SH2. Quite the atmosphere, those had! The third game was right up my alley.
Nostalgia for the direct sequel to the first film, Jodelle Ferland is conspicuous by her absence at least as an adult who knows the town, the new actress doesn't convince me.
I totally get it. I as well would be hard to convince for just about any video game to movie adaptation. If it makes it to theaters, I might give it a try. Otherwise, I could pop SH3 back into the console again.
I have been a fan of Silent Hill since I was 7 years old, at the time when the PlayStation 1 was around I played the first one and I really liked it, then later when the PlayStation 2 came out I also played other subsequent chapters between 2, 3 and 4. Just yesterday I saw the new trailers between the Silent Hill 2 Remake video game and the Return To Silent Hill movie which both connect the same story with the same locations and characters. In fact, for this reason I created with great satisfaction this thread of the film Return To Silent Hill with the actress "Evie Templeton" who will play "Laura" in the film. Since in the past I played Silent Hill 2 many times when I had the PlayStation 2, what I know is that Laura had escaped from the orphanage to go to Silent Hill to visit her friend Mary, James' wife . Among other things, James will be the protagonist who will go to Silent Hill to find his wife for the letter she sent him, in fact James will have to go through the dark presences of monsters which, believe me, are truly DISTURBING!!!!!!! And I don't want to say anything else about this.
Evie Templeton or (Laura in the film) will be the only one who will not be able to see any monsters or even trails of blood scattered in some places in Silent Hill thanks to her bond with Mary she described the city to him as a quiet and beautiful place, and he showed Laura many photos of his holiday. So Laura sees the city just like in the photos shown to her. It is also possible that Laura does not see monsters because her heart is pure.
