Haven't heard of that one, any info? ;)

At the moment, French movies are following the Hollywood trend  But ~10-15+ years ago they knew how to create movies reflecting childhood realistically.

Do you know this one? "Secret de banlieue (2002)", is there a significant child role? :?

Olsen Twins looked truely awful in their early stuff, a woman with the same acting ability and/or features at the time wouldn't have been considered for any roll in TV/movies.

And having a 19 year old play a 12 year old? I agree it's pretty ridiculous, although US movies are moving away from this idea, slowly. :)

That's the case of Lolita where Dominic Swain plays the rol of a little girl of 12 years old, when she was 17 years old, in the time of filming.

I guess a lot depends on whether or not the actress/ director/ editor can pull it off. In Las Edades.De.Lulú, (Bigas.Luna.1990), Francesca Neri played the leading role from a gawky, innocent teen to a grown, jaded woman. IMO she did it rather well.

BTW, I liked the Olsen twins in Full House and Two of a kind :thumbup1: (both TV series), but not so much now that they are all grown up. :(
