I hate to be the bearer of bad news, jezevex, but parts 1-3 will not play for me in either VLC or MPC. Parts 4-5 play just fine.

Basically, the MP4s play but the TS files do not. Normally I can play them. Maybe it is just me? I do know that I HAVE been fighting Windows all day long, so maybe I have some sort of virus. I will attempt to recode them to deal with those multiple audio options in the TS but not tonight. Before that is a full computer virus check.
Please check your own files and see if you have a problem too or if I am all alone! If it works for you, do you use a different video player than VLC or MPC?
I did my virus scans and found no little monsters. I did drive scans / chkdsk without errors. I had already updated Windows. (Maybe that was the problem.) Yet Windows Explorer keeps locking up on various files. It locked up again on these files. Whatever. I'm not looking for answers here, I just wanted to indicate that I did not trust my results with the files because of the problems I was otherwise having. I am glad, I guess, that others are NOT having problems.
My experience with VLC is that it DOES play TS files, just not these. If I attempt to play TS files with external subtitles, then VLC either crashes or locks up, I don't remember which. I made sure I did not have subtitles in the same folder. I started using MPC in addition to VLC because someone here (DS?) clued me in that it will play TS with SRTs. Still, most of the time I use VLC because the infinitely nested MPC menus drive me crazy. I like the big friendly Fisher Price VLC controls.
Ghost, I think you use MPC-HC. I use MPC-BE. Maybe that is why you get playback and I don't. Yet DreamScape uses MPC-BE and it works! Aaaaaaagh! I had already planned after scanning the computer to do what DreamScape suggested and remux the video and audio content into MKVs because that has worked before for fixing OTHER problem files, including ones that are ALREADY MKVs! In this case it worked too.
Jezevex, thank you very much for the replacement files! I have them loaded up in eMule now. I don't know why my newish and updated computer is not handling those particular TSs, but this will surely take care of it. From what I was able to see of the series from checking out the working files, it looks like I'll enjoy it! Very strange the mysterious missing episode(s).
I think that the missing episodes aren't such a big mystery. They (probably) aired all seven parts in the middle of the '90s but decided to reprise just the first five - maybe afternoons during one workweek or so, and the next week they aired something else. The same situation happened with several other Czech - FLM absolutely irrelevant - series where some of their episodes were reprised many times, but the others never or just once. Maybe these two will pop up somewhere someday but until then, the only source of them is probably a VHS rip...
But... isn't this a limited series that tells one continuous story? Or are all the episodes stand-alone episodes? (I have been on FLM since I stopped fighting my computer so I have not seen it.) If a long-running series with a different story each episode does not have all of them reaired it does not matter. But here is seems 7 episodes would total only an hour!

It looks to be an anthology type series, just based on the previews. I see different characters in every pane and each group appears in only one of them.
