Oh no, not again. Thank you for reporting this. Ghost and I had noticed the board was slow but had not seen the errors. Hopefully it will be fixed by tomorrow...

The error seems to appear only on some specific threads, such as:

The slow response issue seems to be solved.

Giving an example of a page with the error also helps quite a bit, thank you. I appreciate faster board response now (?) that it is back, but I am sure the techxperts will want to look into it. I can not say it is exactly the same cause as whatever made it happen before, but I can see the results are similar.

The uploaded images is also damaged in some cases and could not be repaired.

Because re-uploading is useless.

Please notify me when you have repaired it and I can re-upload it (if necessary).

1. The warning messages are caused by the fact that the post https://www.first-loves.com/forums/view ... 004#p61004 has been edited by a non-existing user #10494. This should normally not happen.

#10494 is among the first 5 users who joined the restored board in August 2011, so I'm quite sure it was Starfish himself. Probably he forgot his password or something and was later given a new user ID. It was long ago, so it's hard to remember what happened exactly.

Editing the post again should get rid of the "Last edited by Guest" message and solve the problem.

2. Slow response has been AFAIK always caused by rogue bots so far. Looks like I got the current problem under control by applying some specific limits to the particular subnet. I hope the subnet does not have legitimate users.

Unfortunately we will have to update configuration each time we have bots from different subnets.

Ideally we should find optimal limits that restrict bots and do not cause problems for normal users, but we have to test this carefully.

Great, I was confused, because I did not see any problems with images of the post you mentioned (viewtopic.php?p=123208#p123208). Very nice post, BTW

Regarding the warning messages, I found 68 other posts with the same issue and all of those were by starfish21 and edited by user #10494, so I fixed the problem by just changing the editing user ID of those posts to starfish21.
