Yes, thank you! This comes from an era of Japanese movies that always interest me, so I am sure to enjoy this. I have seen a number of director Masumura's films (I geek out on directors) and I have also seen the lead cast members in different movies.

Both are video compression codecs. H.264 or AVC dates back to 2003. H.265 or HEVC is its successor from 2013 and has better compression so that it can have the same quality in a smaller file. Some older computer equipment does not play back the newer H.265 codec very well. If you do not know if yours will play it, then download a smaller H.265 file to find out! If a movie is only available in a H.265 version, it can be recoded to a larger H.264 version by those who know how to do that. I did that a few times with my older computer.
