Certain things are I think. It's like the Swedish site svtplay.se, some things are accessible anywhere and some only in Sweden. A VPN can deal with that. If I try to play something on Arte and it tells me that's not available in my country, I simply connect from Paris instead.

I played football in my childhood. I was raised like a boy. But my mother was always against it. That's why it's like the girl in the movie is talking about my childhood. hehehehe

I don't understand French so I didn't really understand much of the film

When I switch ARTE to the site English setting, that video will not appear for me. The only way I get English for that video is with the browser machine-translation of the page. Pronouns are contextual in many languages and do not machine-translate well.

(I can not answer your question about the film because I have not seen it yet.)
