This is as off topic while staying on topic as I can get.

This is a quick question about a profile picture I saw. Triela was a regular here, but they haven’t been on in a long while. I also see that people here like to go on scavenger hunts. Anyone know who that person is in the picture and where to find her at? I have had some leads in the past, but it’s always a dead end. Obviously this isn’t really a movie, this the first sentence. It’s just solving something that has been a thorn in my side. (I’m not going to post the image just in case. I’m not too certain about the photo rules)

Sure, I'll take a shot. I used tineye to reverse image search, it showed it to be a Japanese photobook. I don't read Japanese so I put the image into an image translator and this is what I found:

The top, top left seems to say "beautiful girl fairy tale photo collection."

Hiromi Saimon is the photographer and it seems to be from 1986.

Google the photographer's name and you should find more images of the girl, but I couldn't find a name.

Google image searching "kingpouge laika" brings up more photos of the same girl, but all the links are very weird and not really super trustworthy looking imo.

I came across this book by a Japanese photographer; the models were Eastern European girls. It was kind of strange—everything was in Japanese, but the models weren't Asian. I should warn you, it's best not to look for that; it would be considered CP.

I don't think so. The influence of Loli 'lolitas' or young models you could see manga, anime, and even modeling in that country was normalized.

There’s many influences there and it’s not 1:1 Hamilton but the model, the era, and the dreamlike soft focus certainly has echoes of DH

Tineye was interesting, but putting some of the images I already have in there just showed nothing. Yanex was a better help at least for the image search, but still nothing. I’m sure this applies to a lot of you, but it was something I found a while back, then forgot about it, then went to revisit and it turns out the internet is trying to hide it from you!

Yeah I dont know the exact pipeline of "eastern European girl to Japanese model" but it seems to be a thing that happens with some regularity. To be clear, other than what I looked up and posted I have no idea what's in these books and don't necessarily support them, I just think it's fun trying to identify people/source images.
