After a long life of hardship in Pekalongan, Sita, a single mother, gets a job at a hospital in Semarang. She travels with her visually impaired daughter, Gendis, on the last bus through the haunted Alas Roban route. On the way, their bus breaks down-and from then on, Gendis's life changes. Gendis begins hearing strange voices, drawing mysterious symbols, and becomes possessed every night, as if something wants to take her body. With the help of her cousin, Tika, and Anto, an ambulance driver who understands the myths of Alas Roban, Sita learns that Gendis is the target of Dewi Raras, who is furious because an old ritual promise was forgotten. To save her daughter, Sita must return to Alas Roban with a spiritual guardian, Mrs. Emah, and perform a final ritual before the sacred night arrives.
