Is archive.org the new Uloz? How reliable is it for long term hosting?
I have downloaded a few videos from https://archive.org in the past and I see uploading is very easy too. Does anyone have any bad experiences with archive.org? Do they delete files? I have been uploading some old and rare movies that shouldn't trigger any complaints from copyright holders and archive.org is a non profit that shares the interest in preserving media so it does not get lost. You can direct download and stream and it doesn't have any annoying ads or trackers. The site also preserves/hosts many old game ROM's and they don't seem to get deleted. Is it too good to be true?

To download files I shared on uloz use my username user123_ and my password Abc12345678 - please don't change it

No personal experiences, but I have read news about book and music industry lawsuits against them. The book lawsuits have been generally successful and the major music one reached a confidential agreement.

The amount they seek is roughly the equivalent to $151,000 per file
