From Imdb:
Suzanne is 15 and is having sex with many boys, just for fun, but did not manage to really love one of them. Her family does not understand her. The father does not like her behaviour. When he leaves home, the mother becomes a little bit neurotic. And Suzanne's brother Robert, begins to beat her as a punishment...

15-year-old
Sandrine Bonnaire plays her first lead role as Suzanne, a French teen who sleeps around just to pass the time. Her behavior causes great consternation in her family - but not for the viewing audience! And Sandrine gives us plenty of what French cinema is famous for.
This rip includes English subtitles from the bluray. Not hard coded, as usual.

Hm, I rather come to 16 - or was the movie made in the year before (1982)?

Sandrine Bonnaire was born on May 31, 1967. The movie was released on November 16, 1983, about five months after she turned 16 (it was in post-production by then). She was 15 during the actual filming. Believe it or not she never intended to become an actress. She was just tagging along with her older sister, who went to audition for À Nos Amours, but the casting director saw her standing there and asked if she'd like to read for the role herself. Here's an interview with Sandrine from 2009 where she talks about it.

Exactly the same way
Adèle Haenel was discovered. In that case it was her brother going to the audition and she just happened to accompany him. Those casting directors sure are good at their jobs!

Obviously! I am pretty sure he coached here thoroughly for the sex scenes - out of pure altruism of course, the younger generation is our future ...

Thank you much deadman, for the quality release of this movie. I remember browsing through this and for some reason I didn't grab it. My previous copy dates back to 2007. I appreciate being able to grab this one in HD.
