There are no subtitles to be found for this, and I've looked. If anyone

The comments are interesting, a lot of people reminiscing about watching this movie in their childhood.
Does anyone know the context of the relevant scene where she confronts the older man by those hanging blankets? I don't really understand it other than she is begging for the dog, I think.
The girl in this movie looks like she should've been a star, but my understanding is this was her only movie?
