Review:
In 1929 an impoverished nine-year-old named Chiyo from a fishing village is sold to a geisha house in Kyoto's Gion district and subjected to cruel treatment from the owners and the head geisha Hatsumomo. Thought this one was already here... This is another one of those films where the main character is young at the beginning, then is seen "grown up" for the rest. That said, this movie is great viewing.

I'm quite intrigued by that trivia. Its a bit surprising an American movie production would even have her be fully naked without modesty coverings. And why would they even take set photos of her like that?

This BTS has no source and I believe it is fake.
Be careful when reading this type of news (on SC, IMDb, Wikipedia): if there is no reliable source (a book, an online newspaper article), then don't believe it.

I do believe that such a scene did happen, but the leaked photo story was dismissed; only the Japanese know about it.
