Lucille, fifteen years old, nicknamed Lulù, has a difficult personality…She is solitary; she has one friend, Clara, whom she is fond of. With boys she is rude, she moves in jerks, and she’s clumsy. She is a cute and sensitive girl, still searching for her identity. She lives in a nice house with a garden. Her father Antoine is an engineer, sweet and patient, and her mother Juliette is a housewife. Lulù is constantly watching her mother: she scrutinizes every action, weighs every word. How strange this woman is to her, a distant unknown being! Juliette has been lost for many years in a deep depression; she seems apathetic and absent, as if she has given up on life. Lulù decides to find out what is going on in her mother’s head and is willing to do anything to make her happy. The young director tells, through the eyes of Lulù, about the difficult relationship between adults and children.
