Dammit, ART!!! It's the holidays and I NEED to save my $$ for family gifts, NOT gifts for myself!!! This probably is going suck turkey turds, but it SOUNDS as if it has all the key points that make it a must have in my book: 2 cute Asian girls that have a good bit of screen-time..
MANY thanks for bringing this to our attention!
Here's another site that has some more info. [+ trailer] It has some pix of the girls. (I'm sure there's more sites, but I'm in a hurry and this one popped up quickly.

) Pix are hard to trace in a hurry as 'Ba-bi' seems to get more hits with Korean drama series and some porn.. Searching 'Barbie', well... you know...
hancinema.net wrote:Best known for his low-budget hits "Father is a Dog" and "Mother is a Whore", Berkeley graduate Lee Sang-woo-IV directed this remarkable ‘big picture’ with almost $100,000, a family drama that takes an unflinching look at Korea’s image as baby exportation center for the world. Its allegory-like drama is heightened by breathtaking performances by popular young actor Lee Cheon-hee, who plays a bastard-like uncle, and the two sister actresses, Kim Sae-ron and Kim Ah-ron.

I appreciate the speed you found the streaming vids, but I'm getting a 'Malware' warning from the 'Dailymotion' site... Maybe it's just my overly energetic protection programs, but I'm too paranoid to risk it.. Even for this movie.
(I've already ordered the DVD, so I'll have it in around a month.

If the links don't pan out, I'll rip and post after I get it..)

Unbelievable...
Thanks for bringing your rip to FLM, petra!
BUT:
I JUST got the DVD today, had a HELLUVA time trying to rip it [as whatever copy-protection is on the disk wouldn't let any of my DVD rip programs] then I get here to post it and viola!!
Well... Since there is a size difference in our rips, I'm going to go ahead and drop my rip in there too. Unfortunately with mine there's 2 sets of subs that are hard-coded...

I appreciate you bringing the movie to FLM, petra, honestly. But after I worked to get this here, I feel like I needed to throw my rip into the mix.
(Does your rip have subs? If not, I'm going to try and make another rip the way I used to and rip the subs separate.)

Yay! I'd love to see Sae-ron Kim in another movie. She was fantastic in
The Man From Nowhere (highly recommended!).

Sorry Kev. Fate works like that sometimes. The subs are here. I thought they were hard coded.

The girl in this starred in a Korean tv drama called the Queens classroom which you can find on gooddrama.net. Very well acted by the kids and can bring tears in many episodes.

7 years late for me now, but ... OMG YES!!! Queen's Classroom was a terrific series, and I think even better than the Japanese original it was based on. One of the early things I watched that got me interested in Sae-ron. It is about a seemingly monstrous teacher who terrorizes her 6th grade students. At first they despise her and the parents think she is wonderful, but things are not as they seem ...
gooddrama appears to be no more, but it is here with English subtitles:

This is one twisted movie with an interesting idea on how the U.S. medical system works.
It has always bothered me that the clearly dark-brunette American girl Barbie (pictured above) is repeatedly referred to in the subtitles as 'BLONDE', with the black-haired Koreans entranced by how yellow-haired she is. What!??!? The actress was good in her role but was miscast if they were looking for a blonde. Maybe it was poorly translated subtitles: maybe the children loved her CURLY hair and kept referring to her as the PALE WHITE girl. But that was a problem with the script and not the actress. Certainly she gave a better performance than the non-actor portraying American dad Steve, who was at least appropriately creepy in a sex tourist kind of way. If only those had been his actual plans ...
I had hoped to find a 1080p upgrade but have had no luck as yet. petra's 720p file is still quite good, clean and clear, with only the inevitable Korean hardsubs in the English dialog sections. It is also available for direct download here:

I did some corrections to the English subtitle file I found somewhere, mostly trying to get them to match the English language parts:

Star Kim Sae-ron yet again suffers through themes similar to her previous roles, although this time her father is clearly a good guy, and knows how to put a frying pan to good use. It is her uncle who is a complete shit. Here are those tears her directors love so much:
