[REL] Maikäfer flieg (2016)

Post by Night457 »   0 likes

Vienna 1945: The powder keg of war and the Russian occupation as seen through the innocent eyes of nine-year old Christine. Bombed out and penniless, she and her family are put up in a fancy villa in the outskirts of Vienna. They now have a roof over their heads, nothing more. After the German soldiers surrender, the Russians take over the house. Written by morroviolet

English subtitled trailer: https://vimeo.com/ondemand/maikaeferflieg

This looks interesting, and includes one discreet OT scene. The only free downloads I can find are ear-scorching Russian dubs rather than the original German and Russian. (No offense: I adore original Russian language films, just not Russian dubbed ones.) The Vimeo link suggests that it may be available in other regions (not USA). Perhaps this has appeared on German television?

Use eMule's Search. That way YOU get the "Likes".

I must say your posts are very well formatted. Were you a member here before? Don't answer if you don't want to, or don't tell your prior nick if you don't want - not trying to pry.

I (auto)translated the German subs into English. They certainly contain some errors, but you can follow the plot:

Whatchyoutalkinbout? Oh ... {facepalm}. I confess I am so used to my years of hours-long Google sessions in a fruitless search for whatever that it never occurred to me to do this, even though I knew emule had the capability. Can I save my dignity by pretending that I thought that only FLM used emule, and that if I did not find it on FLM then it would not be on emule? Would you buy that?

Why, thank you. No, I just have read many posts by the Lords of FLM here, and was an anonymous lurker for some time before I got the courage to even register and the energy to learn this emule thingy. (This was of course prompted by FLM being the only apparent source in the world for some movies I was looking for.) I just try to imitate what I see here.

Oh oh oh! I am ecstatic! Thank you again, ghost. I was expecting to have to do this myself, but you have it covered.

Nope, not buying it. :D Uloz.to (https://ulozto.net in English) is another good place to look.

I discovered that thanks to FLM and I did indeed check there for this title, though only found the 1996 "Fly Away Home." Uloz is now firmly embedded in my routine just as much as FLM. So far, the emule searches I have tried have resulted in waiting ... and waiting ... and waiting ... for nothing.

Presumably it will continue to search the entire Internet for something that may not be there. But then, I have only tried emule when Google has failed. I should try it for a known popular title just to see how quickly it works with my Model T internet connection.

Thank you for the searching suggestions!
