News of the World (2020)

Synopsis:

Five years after the end of the Civil War, Captain Jefferson Kyle Kidd (Tom Hanks), a veteran of three wars, now moves from town to town as a non-fiction storyteller, sharing the news of presidents and queens, glorious feuds, devastating catastrophes, and gripping adventures from the far reaches of the globe. In the plains of Texas, he crosses paths with Johanna (Helena Zengel ), a 10-year-old taken in by the Kiowa people six years earlier and raised as one of their own. Johanna, hostile to a world she's never experienced, is being returned to her biological aunt and uncle against her will. Kidd agrees to deliver the child where the law says she belongs. As they travel hundreds of miles into the unforgiving wilderness, the two will face tremendous challenges of both human and natural forces as they search for a place that either can call home.

Though not the most attractive in this film, hopefully y'all recognize the name

Helena Zengel from a couple of her other movies here: Die Tochter (2017) and Systemsprenger (2019). She's our favorite Dark Blue Girl...

I kinda like Tom Hanks as an actor so I'm looking forward to their chemistry together..

(You know, to see if it morphs into a father/daughter or uncle/niece sorta thing...)

It's slated for a Christmas release [Dec. 24] in the US.. If they stream it on Pay-Per-View at the same time, it's bound to hit the web very soon after..

Here's hoping that THIS movie is big enough we don't have to wait while they re-cut, re-name and change the release date of their movie, like we're having to do with some films..

(Did I hear someone say Cherrypicker (2020) NOW KNOWN AS: Ankle Biters (2021)??? )

I can't await to see Helena again in a new movie. But if the release date of january 7. will work? At the moment all cinemas are closed again in Germany for Nov. and who knows what will happen next month or in January.

Our beloved girl "breaks the system" by her performance conquered Hollywood, that if it is going to be great, I would have liked to continue in the cinema of her country.
