The plot of "Mujeres del Alba" takes place in the context of the assault on the Ciudad Madera barracks in the Sierra de Chihuahua in 1965. After the abuses and dispossession of the logging and ranching companies in complicity with the authorities, a group of teachers , students and peasant leaders decided to take up arms.
While the rebels are forced to go into hiding, their families become the main target of the army. The choral story is told from the perspective of women who, despite the difficulties, fight from their fronts to support the cause.
