[REL] Leave the World Behind (2023)

My 2nd, maybe 3rd release.
It's with
Farrah Mackenzie, who, at 16, plays a not-so-credible 13 year old. Regrettably, while OT, she's nót (N)OT in this role. You might know her from the US version of Utopia, where she's remarkable because she couldn't hold a candle to Emilia Jones

Sigh.
The movie and her acting are pretty good, though 8 outta 10, both.

And she does run around in shorts, but that's about it.
What do you think? Credible 13 year old, or not?
Oh well.

Thanks! I'll have to see the video to know for sure, but I remember some rather mature-looking teens from MY childhood. So maybe she will look like the 13-year-olds that I saw. Nowadays many youngsters seem to stay babyfaced longer. Or maybe I am just getting old, so twentysomethings seem like little kids.
I know I saw Farrah in
Logan Lucky (2017) but I can only remember the gorgeous hunks of manflesh in that movie, like Adam Driver.

In another thread I noted that I am bewildered by the apparent view of Adam Driver as a gorgeous sex symbol. But he seems a decent actor and I like some of his movies, so I don't mind him. I just can't let go of what amuses me.
Now Daniel Craig, that's different ... hubba hubba.

I found Logan Lucky to be an amusing heist flick although I am CERTAIN I only saw it because of the "cute girl" (Farrah). So it is annoying that I don't really remember her character. Well, it's been a few years.
I scrolled through LtWB and I can believe Farrah in it as anywhere 14-17. Thirteen does seem a little too young. Is her supposed age an essential plot point? (No spoilers.) Surely they could just have made the character's age closer to her own so viewers would not be pulled out of the movie by something inconsequential?

Can't be nearly as bad as that Orphan prequel. Isabelle Fuhrman was very adorable in the first movie, and looked very obviously much, much older in the "prequel". (It was like 10 vs mid twenties LOL, like what were they thinking? just hire another actual child) By comparison I have seen some older looking 13 year olds, it happens, at least. I was surprised Emily Browning was 15/16 when she played Violet Baudelaire in A Series of Unfortunate Events I could've easily believed she was 13 or younger in that movie.

Credible 13 year old definitely. At 13 some girls can be near full height/matured. Some can look 10. Genes, diet, interest in food vs not, growth hormones fed to chickens, and cattle making their way into the food chain (saw on '60 minutes' a study linked that to early onset puberty occuring 1yr earlier than the previous generation).
From history
- Japanese from 30 years ago (where the staple food was rice-based meals) are a lot smaller than this generation, where a more Western diet is eaten.
- Lots of 2nd WW children had stunted growth due to food rationing.
- 19th century, average height was closer to 1.6m. Children didn't have it so easy, back when infant mortality (% reaching age 5) could be 50% or worse. Working in a factory 6 days a week, 6am-6pm, from age 5, eating the rubbish the factory dishes out isn't going to be good for you.
