Renamed thread Subject.

IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7056958/
'Swimming' or 'Schwimmen'(OT) is the story of Elisa and Anthea, two most different girls, whose friendship gives them orientation and stability in the most difficult time of their young lives. But their innocent friendship soon turns into dependency. To maintain their cohesion, they develop a game - which turns them from victims to offenders.

OK, I've put the "Debüt im Dritten" in the title since it's (probably) a part of some collection of youth-themed movies... But because of that, Google didn't return to me the IMDb link. So this way it's better...

You are pretty close to it...

"Debüt im Dritten" = "Debut in the Third"
Feature films by young filmmakers. This gives the future talents of German cinema the chance to show their debut works.

This is an Ardmediathek category for some of the films they show. What exactly is meant by "Third" I have no idea!

I wanted to know more about the movie so I Chrome-translated the page so I could understand what it was saying. I got the director's name, then looked that up with "Schwimmen" and got the IMDB page.

Hmm, there used to be ARD (channel 1) and ZDF (channel 2), but which one they call "channel 3" :think

Maybe an online channel?

An online search gives the title "Videos von Das Erste und den Dritten Programmen - ARD Mediathek"

Here is the Debüt im Dritten page:
https://www.ardmediathek.de/sendung/deb ... 8yNTgyNzMw
It has the SWR logo. (Südwestrundfunk)
SWR Fernsehen is a German regional television channel targeting the states of Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate. It is produced by Südwestrundfunk (SWR) and is one of eight regional "third channels" broadcast by the ARD members.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SWR_Fernsehen

So ... there were two national channels, and a third channel that was region-dependent? I suspect German television is quite different in the 21st century, but perhaps the old terminology stuck?

I miss the days when we did not have hundreds of channels of pure garbage. Cable television wrought the Apocalypse.

Now for me to get back on topic ...

I took the German opensubtitles, removed the colors, and did a plain and simple uncorrected English machine translation to go with jezevex's file.

English & English SDH SRTs:
Schwimmen EN&EN-sdh.zip
